Yellow

Yellow is the colour of the haldi morning, of Basant Panchami and of Saraswati puja. In South-Asian homes it stands for new beginnings, learning and the turmeric blessing given to a bride and groom before the wedding, so yellow flowers are ordered more for the days around a wedding than for the ceremony itself.

The yellow range is led by genda: loose yellow marigold heads for rangoli and puja plates, and yellow marigold ladi strings by length for doors, haldi swings and stage frames. Yellow chrysanthemum brings the colour into jewellery, in tuberose-and-chrysanthemum bridal sets, earrings and maang tika, and gajra bracelets. You will also find jasmine kangan with yellow accents and tuberose garlands spaced with red and yellow baby roses.

For a haldi, dress the swing or seat in yellow marigold strings and give the bride a yellow chrysanthemum set; guests can wear jasmine kangan with yellow centres.

Yellow in Dubai – questions & answers

What yellow flowers should I order for a haldi ceremony?

Most families take yellow marigold strings for the backdrop and seat, loose marigold for the floor or thali, and a yellow chrysanthemum flower-jewellery set for the bride. Jasmine kangan with yellow centres suit guests. Order for the morning of the haldi so the flowers are at their brightest.

Is yellow marigold different from orange for pujas?

Both are offered at pujas and both are genda. Yellow is preferred for Saraswati and Vishnu, for Basant Panchami and for haldi, while orange or saffron is more linked to Ganesh and Hanuman. Many families simply mix the two in one doorway.

Can a yellow flower set be worn with a green outfit?

Yes, yellow and green is the classic mehndi and haldi combination. Yellow chrysanthemum with white tuberose shows up well against green, and a few red roses add contrast in photographs if the outfit is very dark.

Do you deliver yellow the same day?

Yes. Order by 6 PM (UAE time) for same-day delivery in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, seven days a week; delivery to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain is next day. You choose the delivery date and a time slot at checkout.

How fresh are the flowers?

Flowers arrive at our Deira workshop before sunrise; every haar, gajra and kangan is strung on the day of delivery.

Can I order for a wedding or puja date in advance?

Yes – pick any date up to two weeks ahead at checkout. Changes are possible until 2:30 PM UAE time the day before delivery. For large or matching-pair orders, message us on WhatsApp +971 50 586 1001.

How much does delivery cost?

In Dubai delivery costs AED 19–59 depending on the order value. The exact fee for your emirate is shown at checkout before you pay.
